The similar bug seems to be present in Xubuntu Jaunty beta. Notification bubble, pointing to network manager icon is clearly rendered incorrectly (see screenshot). Notification-daemon version: 0.4.0-0.ubuntu3 . (After some experiments with pynotify I realised, what notification bubble is rendered incorrectly only after it is updated with pynotify.Notification.update() and only when it is pointing down).
