A few suggestions i'd like to add, -maybe they should popunder, then if the X is clicked push it to the messaging menu -the user then controls priority (its popped under as a high priority item), then if nothings done (an X (close) is clicked) it lowers in priority to the messaging menu -maybe high priority items that get closed (or not acted upon), can request a different color dot on the indicator applet, (or at least a more noticable change to the icon)
