I am also using amd64 kubuntu jaunty, and the bug only occured when changing height, for me. But oh well :) If I understand correctly, Yakuake contains a *workaround* for this. Maybe status should only be set to "fix released" when the real bug is fixed in KDE or Qt? Has the (real) bug already been triaged there?
