The log file comes up empty, I'm too ignorant to know why. I ran the command line from home prompt as written which opened Evolution. I created a new msg and sent it. Once received I checked the log file in my home directory with gedit but it's empty.
Here's a link the postmaster at the anonymizer pointed me toward wrt Evolution broken headers, with lots of examples. http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg11770.html Seems it was entered as a bug seven years ago, or at least it's said to have been. Maybe something useful here? Postmaster mentioned googling Evolution and broken headers returned a surprising number of hits and gave this one as an example. He is unable to reproduce the problem. I'll continue to check my setup to see if I've munged something in mime attachments or whatnot. Thanks for your time, sorry I'm not knowledgeable to be of more help.
