I've been able to reproduce this issue, but it has nothing to do with the .pcf import With the same settings on network-manager-vpnc: On Ubuntu 8.10 everything is fine On Ubuntu 9.04 RC : using the nm-applet result in the same error (VPN connection error: VPN connection could not be established because there are no valid secrets.) and thus, using "sudo vpnc" with the very same parameters works fine.
