I have a PowerPoint file that frequently crashes Impress when I do a
slide show in Impress. I started from scratch building an equivalent
ODP and had the PPT version open (for comparison purposes as I build the
new file). As long as only the ODP is open, I can do a slide show all
day with no problem. If I open the PPT and do a slide show with the ODP
(not the PPT), it still frequently crashes. I am on Ubunto Itrepid Ibex
8.10, openoffice.org-base-core (1:2.4.1-11ubuntu2.1), Dell D630 laptop
(1.5GB RAM, 320GB SATA, 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo), native x86 install (not
VBox, not _64). I do have the laptop in a docking station with dual 24"
monitors running at 1920x1200. I did not install and don't think I am
using compiz (Appearance Preferences - Visual Effects - None). The PPT
is attached.
