** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg I am using Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope 9.04 on an eee pc 904HA. Compiz/Desktop effects is disabled on this system. This is a fresh Ubuntu installation, 2 days old at the time of actually reporting this bug. The instructions to follow my problem are below: I open a media player such as Totem, VLC or another media player, the player loads up to their home screen with no problems. I then load a video, I have tested both ogg theora and wmv video and then the application crashes and quits. I would normally expect it to play the video.
