Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

Hi,

I'd like to report a bug in pulseaudio 1:0.9.14-0ubuntu20 (Jaunty RC upgraded
from ibex)
Before login, I hear the 'tam tam' sound, but when I log, I hear an horrid
parasitic sound and then nothing, I only have the Null Output device in
pavucontrol.

I have to kill pulseaudio with 'pulseaudio -k' to make it work again.

I checked previous bugs and some of them seems to correspond but none had this
sound (see in attachments).
I tried to delete all my ~/.pulse* files, deactivate the login sound in
Syst.>Prefs.>Session as well as 'PulseAudio Session Management' but it chaged
nothing.

Syslog mention these errors :
Apr 21 10:51:31 Quartz pulseaudio[3925]: alsa-util.c: Error opening PCM device
hw:0: device or resource busy
Apr 21 10:51:31 Quartz pulseaudio[3925]: module.c: Failed to load module
"module-alsa-sink" (argument: "device_id=0
sink_name=alsa_output.pci_8086_284b_sound_card_0_alsa_playback_0 tsched=0"):
initialization failed.

I have to mention that in intrepid I used to use a bluetooth headset configured
as described here : http://fosswire.com/post/2008/10/better-bluetooth-audio/
Don't know if it could be related

Regards
