  It seems that many of the bugs related to OO shipped with Ubuntu are
  Ubuntu and Debian specific. People have suggested that this is related

  However, if a user installs the OpenOffice.org version (using alien
  tool) the suite works as it is supposed to.
  
  So, I believe that Ubuntu should provide an Open Office that works just
  like in Suse, Fedora and even Windows......Please fix that. It's a major
  pain having to install the suite from scratch for the end user!!
