Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Using: Rhythmbox 0.12.0 Jaunty Jackolope, Ubuntu 9.04 My system is using the ATI HD Radion 3870 with the restricted driver. Dual monitors configured in a dual head configuration (i.e. two X Displays) Bug: Launching rhythmbox with the option of --display=x where x is not the display it was launched from causes rhythmbox to crash and burn when attempting to play a song. Produces: jer...@waterloo:~$ rhythmbox --display=:0.1 The program 'rhythmbox' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'. (Details: serial 52 error_code 8 request_code 132 minor_code 19) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) Repeatable: Always Steps to reproduce: (Hardware may be involved) System has two X displays, a and b from the command line on display A issue this command: rhythmbox --display=b OR from the command line on display B issue this command: rhythmbox --display=a THEN attempt to play a song. Watch it crash and burn. ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Rhythmbox crashes when using --display=x https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/364975 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
