Harrington, do you mean the menu is not opened on the left monitor? I think the best practise is to open a menu in the same monitor where it is opened from.
My system is updated Xubuntu Dapper (so the desktop environment is Xfce 4 version 4.3.90.2) and Firefox version is now 2.0.0.1.
