This freeze is occuring only with 2.6.28 kernel. Its working perfectly in 2.6.29.1 kernel. But in 2.6.30.rc2 kernel it gives a blank screen but no X freeze. I can switch virtual terminals and caps lock keys works , which was not in the case of 2.6.28 kernel.
There is one more bug I reported with UXA on 28 kernel6.29.1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/362362 The 2.6.29.1 kernel fixes that also.
