I have the same problem with my Toshiba Satellite notebook. The surprising fact: If I remember correctly, with older releases of ubuntu the USB WLAN device dis- and reappeared on the lsusb list when switching on and off even if there was no driver and the device was completely unsupported. I always believed that the switch at the notebook's front was a hardware switch taking the device away from the USB.
Should be fixed. With hardy and intrepid I used a self compiled driver which dealed with the switch correctly, so it should not be a big deal to get a fix for that problem. regards -- [Jaunty] Hardware switch does'nt work my Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 notebook. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/332795 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
