Thanks. Yes, unfortunately it was not that simple. Is 2.6.28-4-powerpc the latest kernel on powerpc?
In lack of newer kernels, I can suggest building updated drm modules separately. There is a drm-modules-sources package at https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa (in drm-snapshot) which after installation can build and install the modules with "sudo module- assistant auto-install drm-modules". ** Changed in: linux-ports-meta (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed ** Changed in: linux-ports-meta (Ubuntu) Assignee: Tormod Volden (tormodvolden) => (unassigned) -- linux-image-2.6.28-5-powerpc has ioremap fault with radeon drm module https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/345542 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
