I am sorry.  I should not have used the word "closed."  The calendar
quit, but Evolution remained open.  I'm attaching a screenshot.  You can
see the warning message, and that the calendar is open but there is no
data in it.

This did not happen in the previous version of Evolution (under Ubuntu
8.10).  I am reverting to that version (and distro) until this can be
resolved.  I still have the 9.04 LiveCD in case you need me to
troubleshoot further.
