Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-mount
Steps to reproduce in Ubuntu 9.04: 1. Select Places->Computer. 2. Right-click on any volume icon (a hard disk partition or filesystem, for instance) and select Properties. 3. Go to "Drive" and "Volume" tabs. You can see some drive and volume properties. The property names shows translated into Spanish, but the property values shows untranslated, in English. Some untranslated strings are: - "Unknown Connection" - "CD-RW/DVD+RW Drive" - "DVD-ROM Disc" - "Hard Disk" - "Yes (ejectable)" However, all the above strings are translated in Launchpad: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/+source/gnome- mount/+pots/gnome-mount/es/+translate (For example, the "Unknown Connection" string is translated here since 2007-03-13: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/+source /gnome-mount/+pots/gnome-mount/es/160/+translate ) and the translations are into the gnome-mount.mo file: $ strings -eS /usr/share/locale-langpack/es/LC_MESSAGES/gnome-mount.mo | grep "Conexión desconocida\|Sí (expulsable)" Conexión desconocida Sí (expulsable) Attaching two screenshots to illustrate the problem. ** Affects: gnome-mount (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Untranslated strings in "Drive" and "Volume" tabs while inspecting volume properties https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367542 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
