Public bug reported: Ubuntu 9.04 with all updates installed.
While running X on VC 7 (under GNOME), I attempt to switch to a virtual console with <ctrl><alt>F1. The screen flickers and then returns me to the X console, where I must press <ctrl><alt>F1 again to actually use the console. After more than a few seconds (I haven't counted exactly how many), this times out and I must use the key combo twice again if I want to get back. I noticed this in Intrepid as well, but I didn't have a Launchpad account at the time. What I would like to see is the way it worked in Hardy and earlier, as well as in other distributions, where pressing the key combo once results in immediate action. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- switching to virtual console results in immediate switch back to X https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/368209 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
