Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Ubuntu 9.04
Firefox 3.0.9

This is how i discovered this bug:

1. Start downloading of a file, eg. http://www.bakketun.net/test/test50.zip
2. Select "Open with"
3. When the download is complete the file is opened as expected.
4. Download the the same file again.
5. Select "Open with"
6. Pause the download.
7. Resume the download.
8. When the download is complete the file opened is empty.
9. However, opening the last downloaded file in the download manager works

It can also be reproduced like this:

1. Create a file with in /tmp with the same name as the file you are about to
download e.g. "touch /tmp/test50.zip"
2. Select "Open with"
3. Start downloading the file, eg. http://www.bakketun.net/test/test50.zip
4. Pause the download.
5. Resume the download.

When the download is complete Firefox creates an empty file /tmp/test50-1.zip
and opens this.
The file created in step 1 (/tmp/test50.zip) is overwritten with actual data
downloaded.

** Affects: firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
