Using Configuration Editor:

STUN is already disabled by default (or already set to disabled) when I
checked this morning. But very strange, after I changed the STUN server
to localhost. The Ekiga is now working and able to register with the SIP
server. After this, I can set STUN to Enable or Disabled or change the
STUN server location to anything, and the Ekiga remains working.

So the Ekiga is now working, but actual solution not know. Will try the
'solution' on another SIP server setup on a second system and see if the
solution can be repeated (Previously it was also not working).

FYI: The SIP server setup is actually within the same intranet network.
So the firewall NAT does not come into play in this case.

Many thanks for your advice.
