One of the advantage of OTR is that it is Open Source, and it supports any IM client (as long as someone write for it).
So far OTR can be run in Adium, Pidgin, Kopete, Trillian, etc. It will be really nice if aMSN can use Off-the-Record (OTR) Messaging.
