By using krandy I can use an external screen via my dockingstation on my
laptop. There is one drawback.
When I maximize a window it goes behind the kde-panel (the one with K-menu,
klock etc) and the bottom of the window is not visible. I think but are not at
all sure that this relates to krandy. If I unify the outputs (and gets a low
res on my external monitor) windows is not placed behind the panel.
I don't know what package this might relate to.
