Hi Paul, I'd been having similar problems since my upgrade to Jaunty, though copy/paste seemed to work initially and then stop working at some point after I start using Nedit, and I'm not sure what triggers it.
So far so good with your packages, thanks. They also seem to resolve another annoying problem with the Nedit from Jaunty. I am used to hitting Ctrl+G to find the next search result but with the Jaunty package that started to insert the <BEL> character (talk about a 'historical' feature!) instead. The only other comment I have for now is that the Help>Version doesn't actually tell me the version number anymore, and gives a scary message about a "known bad' Motif: """ NEdit release of Aug 20, 2004 Built on: Linux, 486, GNU C Built at: Mar 18 2009, 16:19:39 With Motif: (Known Bad) 2.1.0 [@(#)GNU/LessTif Version 2.1 Release 0.95.0] Running Motif: 2.1 [unknown] Server: The X.Org Foundation 10600000 Visual: 24-bit TrueColor (ID 0x21, Default) Locale: en_US.UTF-8 This NEdit was built with a known-bad version of Motif.
