** Description changed: Since upgrading to Jaunty, a restart means simply restarting Jaunty; I get the shutdown progress bar, then immediately the startup progress bar. No GRUB. I am using the amd64 release, dual booting with WinXP. When I start up the computer, I get the normal GRUB screen, no problems. Booting either Windows or Ubuntu works fine. It's when I press the shutdown button, then the restart choice in the menu that pops up.
