I get the same on a Medion laptop SIM2110. Power management doesn't work. Suspend locks up the laptop on a power on. Battery state is really hit or miss. Sometimes it shows me a lot of detail in /proc....../status. Sometimes it shows me nothing. Opensuse 11.1 also has this same problem. I was hoping 9.04 would have fixed it. Back to XP for me :(
