I can confirm this bug, it looks like ssb is conflicting with wl. To fix
this, run as root:

rmmod wl ssb
modprobe wl

If it works, you can blacklist ssb so you don't have to do this again.

I understand that some people need ssb, but it would be nice if either:
* ssb could be prevented from taking control of BCM4238, since it's known to 
not do anything good with it, or
* The Hardware Drivers app (jockey?) could automagically unload ssb, load wl, 
then reload ssb.
