Public bug reported: I have a problem with my Kubuntu desktop (installed over Ubuntu 9.04). My password includes some Turkish characters (e.g.: ü,ğ,ç,ı,ş,ö). Sudo accepts my password well, but kdesu does not. When I change my password using only numbers or without Turkish characters, it's OK. My locale is "tr_TR.UTF-8"
