I changed it with the last line commented out like so: # options snd-hda-intel model=ALC269 and added your line options snd-hda-intel model=basic then I restarted alsa like so sudo /etc/init.d/alsa-utils restart and got the following: * Shutting down ALSA... [ OK ] * Setting up ALSA... Invalid card number. Then I rebooted the computer and tried to record -- its exactly like it was before. Any thoughts?
