I've been running the 2.6.28-11.43~lp349314apw5 kernel for about a week
and it's worked perfectly.

This is on an Eee PC 702 (8G). The specific problem I was seeing was
slow/halting performance on the netbook launcher (with CPU usage staying
at moderate levels). Another symptom was the tiling error (rejected by
kernel) in the Xorg log. I also tried disabling tiling, which fixed the
obvious problem in the launcher but gave unsatisfactory performance
overall.

As a side note, I've also seen poor Flash performance, but I assume this
is NOT related. Flash performance has been terrible for a long time, and
on all my machines. I think it's a problem with the player. One thing to
check would be the CPU usage: I expect with Flash it will max out. With
this tiling problem it seems to stay low.
