Public bug reported: I switched clean (new installation) to Ubuntu 9.04 64bit from 8.10 64 bit. I have a HP 6715s with AMD X2 and ATI x1250. When i boot Ubuntu the cooling fan starts every 30 seconds with CPU @800MHz. With Ubuntu Ibex it was every 5 Minutes for less then 10 seconds. I think there is something wrong with the free xorg driver radeon maybe.
Someone told me to switch off the tracker-service - i tried with no effect. The Problem is also reported in german at http://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/notebookluefter-unter-jaunty-dreht- haeufiger/ ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: 9.04 fan laptop notebook ubuntu ** Description changed: I switched clean (new installation) to Ubuntu 9.04 64bit from 8.10 64 bit.
