A side effect of not being able to change the default language is even weirder. Suppose your default interface language is German (just for the sake of it). The result of this is that the default language of OpenOffice.org is German ("Deutsch") as well - so far, so good.
Now change the default language of the document to "English" (again, just for the sake of it). This will give you English spelling and hyphenation. So far so good again. But now try to change the document language back to the default (German, in our example). You can't! You can change the document language to anything you like - but not German. The same goes for having Dutch as default language: you will be able to change the document language to English, but not (back) to Dutch. (This is Dapper, openoffice.org 2.0.2-2ubuntu12.2, checked with Deutsch and Nederlands as default languages). -- Can't select "Default languages for documents" https://launchpad.net/bugs/35936 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
