Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Whenever I try playing more than one stream simultaneously (say rhythmbox and a flash video on firefox) on my external sound card, the sound gets very scratchy. This does not happen when I play simultaneous streams on the computer's internal sound card, or my friend's external sound card. If it helps, here's the audio device: Hardware ID: 0d8c:0006 description: Audio Device product: USB Audio vendor: C-Media Electronics, Inc. physical id: 1 bus info: u...@5:1 version: 0.10 capabilities: usb-1.10 audio-control configuration: driver=usbhid maxpower=500mA speed=12.0MB/s ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: aritra 4169 F.... mixer_applet2 Card0.Amixer.info: Card hw:0 'Intel'/'HDA Intel at 0xf8400000 irq 22' Mixer name : 'Realtek ALC268' Components : 'HDA:10ec0268,103c30cc,00100003 HDA:10573055,10573055,00100700' Controls : 17 Simple ctrls : 12 Card1.Amixer.info: Card hw:1 'Audio'/'USB Audio at usb-0000:00:1d.0-1, full speed' Mixer name : 'USB Mixer' Components : 'USB0d8c:0006' Controls : 12 Simple ctrls : 7 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: pulseaudio 1:0.9.14-0ubuntu20.1 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: pulseaudio Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic x86_64 mtime.conffile..etc.pulse.daemon.conf: 2009-05-06T17:54:50.370541 ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- Pulseaudio outputs scratchy sound when multiple streams are played simultaneously https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/372802 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
