Public bug reported: 1)Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g (rev 01)
2)Package: I installed the software manually (see description below) 3)I installed Cisco VPN client by compiling the software. I downloaded the file vpnclient-linux-x86_64-4.8.02.0030-k9.tar.gz and installed correctly into the system. Then I configured a profile (text file under /etc/CiscoSystemsVPNClient/Profiles) in order to connect. Here's the content of that file: [main] Description=VPN zur Uni-Freiburg Host=ipsec-rz.vpn.uni-freiburg.de AuthType=1 GroupName=<Gruppenname> GroupPwd=<Gruppenpasswort> EnableISPConnect=0 ISPConnectType=0 ISPConnect= ISPCommand= Username=<Benuzername> UserPassword=<RAS-Passwort> SaveUserPassword=0 EnableBackup=0 BackupServer= EnableNat=0 EnableLocalLAN=1 CertStore=0 CertName= CertPath= CertSubjectName= CertSerialHash=00000000000000000000000000000000 DHGroup=2 ForceKeepAlives=0 Then I expected to connect to the network and actually I did for the first (nearly) 15 minutes. 4)After almost 15 minutes, ubuntu crashed (my only choice was a force- brute shut down). I tried for more times, but this time the pc crashed seconds after the connection. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: jaunty -- ubuntu crashes after wireless card connect to a tunneled VPN network with cisco vpn client https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/372836 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
