Public bug reported: I just upgraded my kubuntu jaunty to kde 4.2.3. The kickoff applications menu is now completely empty. The other menues - favorites, computer, recently used and leave look fine. Also the file associations seem to have disappeared. When I click on an openoffice spreadsheet the system now asks to specify the application.
I have no idea to which package this problem may be connected. lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: applications kickoff menu ** Description changed: I just upgrade my kubuntu jaunty to kde 4.2.3. - The applications menu is now completely empty. + The kickoff applications menu is now completely empty.
