Sorry I sent you the wrong command, I meant to say "sudo apt-get install ..." but I also think you can't have swx11 and dri/glx mesa installed at once so this command was a bad idea. Nevermind... I looked up what "SIGNAL 7" means now, it's an error generated for invalid memory accessed. The documentation "man signal" shows:
SIGBUS 10,7,10 Core Bus error (bad memory access) Can you please select the "memtest" option when you boot the live CD and then run the entire RAM memory test suite. It would be useful to rule out a hardware error. Note that bus errors can also happen when a program accesses a non-aligned address in memory (at least I saw this before on solaris+sparc). Finally, if the memtest looks okay, can you please attach the output of "dpkg -l | grep mesa" and also the output of "glxinfo -v". Thanks. -- glxgears crashed with signal 7 in _mesa_init_all_x86_transform_asm() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/370184 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
