Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: usplash

I have xorg-edgers video drivers. I am running a custom 2.6.29.1-based kernel
on an eee pc 901. If I boot without the vga option, I can access the VTs
(Ctrl-Alt-F1 through Ctrl-Alt-F6) and login there normally. With the vga
option, all the VTs show only a blinking cursor and pressing keys other than
switching back to X has no effect.
So, if I want VTs, I lose the nice boot progress bar, since usplash wants vga.
If I use vga, I lose VTs. Any ideas?
