Yes the behavior is still happening with the final release of 9.04. I upgraded from 8.10 about a week ago. I believe this is the final release. In the Xorg.0.log I find: Build Operating System: Linux 2.6.24-15-server x86_64 Ubuntu Current Operating System: Linux ted-NewComputer 2.6.28-11-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 17 01:58:03 UTC 2009 x86_64 Build Date: 09 April 2009 02:11:54AM xorg-server 2:1.6.0-0ubuntu14 (bui...@crested.buildd)
I am using Nvidia drivers obtained from Ubuntu. It lists as version 180 in the "Hardware Drivers". In /var/log/kern.log I see: NVRM: loading NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 180.44 so I assume it is version 180.44. There is a version 180.51 on the Nvidia site, but I have not tried it. I tried repeating the behavior on my old computer with 32 bit Ubuntu 9.04, Celeron processor and ATI Rage Pro graphics. The problem does not appear on the old computer. PS. I noticed an error in my previous comment. The restart was done with Alt-SysReq +R,E,I,S,U,B. -- Jaunty beta freezes when we try to close firefox browser that has more than one tab open. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/357718 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
