Anyway, the error should still have triggered apport (unless it is a SIGABRT, which apport does *not* trigger on). Ah well. It will be a bit more work, but we will get there. I would like you to repeat the error, but now under gdb: on a terminal, please run 'gdb <programme> <parms>'; when GDB is ready, you will get the 'gdb>' prompt. Type in 'r', to start running. You should, then, repeat the error (or receive the error). Now, please type in 't a a bt full', and post the output here.
