Public bug reported: I have installed Ubuntu 9.04 on a new system and experienced problem with my KVM switch (D-link DKVM-2K).
The install program can't find the monitor and fall back on a default mode with aa inferior screen resolution. To solve this I must ad instructions to the xorg.conf file. (Without the KVM-switch the monitor is recognized ok.) The KVM switch is powered on all the time even if I shut down the system. When I tried Kubuntu I've got some messages about an unknown pci device and at shutdown something about “iterated PCI device” I haven't been able to reproduce this in Ubuntu. I've running both kubuntu, Mandriva and XP with Nvidia and SIS graphic cards in various combinations on this KVM switch without any problem. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- KVM switch problems in Ubuntu 9.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/375186 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
