** Description changed: Ok really not tech savvy, i will do the best i can. I have an Everex Stepnote laptop, came with windows installed. I switched over to ubuntu 8.04 and at first, my mouse pointer would disappear when I opened a window for battle for wesnoth. Well I did some testing and discovered it disappears whenever I open any windowed game, I cannot see my mouse pointer. My brother tried some stuff on the command terminal with X-mouse or something, but it didnt help. There are alot of posts about this with firefox and nvidia drivers, but I dont - have an nvidia card, so I dont think it has to do with that. + have an nvidia card, so I dont think it has to do with that. Also, i + just noticed my cursor disappears in firefox when i scroll over + pictures. Its only when I try to play games, my mouse works everywhere around the window, the top bar, all the buttons to minimize maximize, ECT. but it doesnt appear in the game space itself. Also, idk if this is related or not, but firefox, sometimes puts pulldown menus behind advertiesments, any help would be great. I will try to give as much information as I can if someone can point me as to how to get said info. Sorry i cant be more specific, but i just need help.
