I cannot confirm Mikels solution. I also ran into this Problems with randomly crashes. But after installing a seperate NVIDIA Graphic Card, the Systema also crashed. My System: Ubuntu 9.10 (AMD64) Motherboard: M3n78 VM 4GB RAM
