Micah,
First install (that didn't work quite right) was in this method:
Insert Cd with iso file image, reboot computer, select to boot from CD, follow
command line script and install along side WinXP.  On second install (today), I
booted into WinXp, inserted CD and let install run inside WinXp.

Firefox now running correctly under Ubuntu 9.04

Status in “firefox-3.0” source package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
Binary package hint: firefox

Used live cd version of desktop Ubuntu 9.04.  Firefox loads and runs.  Can
browse web.  Installed 9.04 from live CD alongside WinXP Pro. (Previously had
8.04 installed with WinXP on this notebook).  Attempting
to run firefox results in 'hour glass' (Ubunut rotating wheel) and minimized
Firefox program icon on bottom status line.  But after about 10 seconds, the
icon is gone and firefox has not loaded. Reinstalled 9.04 and had the same
results.

Whatever is on the live CD version can open and run Firefox.  What got
installed onto the disk does not.
Hardware: HP/compaq nc6000, 1.4 Ghz Pentium with 512 Mb Ram. 40 Gb hard disk
