Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
The default color palette used by gnome-terminal is "Tango" which maps the "black" color of ncurses to a dark grey (not black) this makes using ncurse programs (like emacs, aptitude...) much difficult since it reduces contrast. You could either change the default theme to Linux console or just change this black->grey to black->black ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 Package: gnome-terminal 2.26.0-0ubuntu2 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_CA.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-terminal Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic x86_64 ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: gnome -- Color palette : Bad choice ! https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/377564 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
