Thanks for looking at the problem. Ubuntu can print to the Epson Stylus Photo 820, but cannot clean the heads or change the print cartridge, both of which are necessary. Therefore I have to keep Windows dual boot for the requisite utility. I'd like to switch to 100% ubuntu linux however here's a case where I cannot. Wine can run the utility however it seems to expect a parameter from Windows that it doesn't get. Thanks again for looking at this.
