Same thing for me, but Swedish instead of Italian. I installed Ubuntu using English as setting. Then another user of the computer needed Swedish, so I installed that too in gnome-language, but kept the top two settings ("for my menus..." and "For everyone at startup...") as English (United kingdom). Still, when I log out and log back in, all applications and all menus will be in Swedish. It seems like installing two languages at once but specify which one to use has some unexpected or undefined behavour.
Another thing somewhat related: I removed the swedish language from gnome-language, but thunderbird-locale-sv-se was not removed but had to be removed separately (it was installed together with the other language packages when i selected Swedish, but it wasn't uninstalled together with them) -- Gnome ignores my language setting https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/35464 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
