Brilliant, thank you for the logs, should be very helpful. As one last thing,
can you run
apport-collect 88213
and let it attach all the extra system info, then we should be able to send
this on. Thanks :)

** Summary changed:

- Feisty does not mount encrypted partition
+ [regression] Error org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume.Crypto.SetupError
/dev/sdb is already setup error when mounting encypted drive

** Tags added: regression-release

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager

I have an external USB harddrive with two partitions luks encrypted. In
dapper and edgy, these partitions will be automounted after asking for a
password. In feisty herd4 (upgraded as of feb 27), ubuntu will ask for a
password but will not mount them even if they were successfully
  luksOpen'ed, i.e. the devices are show in /dev/mapper/, e.g.

  /dev/mapper/luks_crypto_e422b233-eb11-9901-v04e-hr5a991234a0

has anyone else seen this? i hope this gets fixed for the final feisty
  release...

+ ====================
+ - Opened my "home" in Nautilus
+ - Double-clicked on the "encrypted filesystem" drive (that was already
plugged-in)
+ - Got the "/dev/sdc already setup ?" message
