Public bug reported: x11vnc occasionally will start infinitely repeating a keystroke. The only fix seems to kill the vnc session, go to the computer locally and hit the repeating key on the keyboard to make it stop.
This is a very severe but as things like the delete key or enter key repeating are extremely dangerous. I am using these settings for x11vnc: -forever -xrandr -bg -nobell -auth $AUTHFILE -usepw -rfbauth $RFBAUTH -o $LOGFILE -input KMBCF -noxdamage -display :0.0 -xkb -nomodtweak -norepeat -1 I added the "-norepeat -1" to try to fix the problem, but it does not fix it. x11vnc version: 0.9.3.dfsg.1-1ubuntu2 This never happened to me in intrepid, just started happening with Jaunty (amd64 build) ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: x11vnc 0.9.3.dfsg.1-1ubuntu2 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: libvncserver Uname: Linux 2.6.28-12-generic x86_64 ** Affects: libvncserver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- x11vnc repeats keystroke infinitely (regression) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/379459 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
