Re: Overheating - Unlikely. This has happened after it's been up for as
long as several days, or as short as a few minutes after a restart, when
the system had been powered down.  It's a HP laptop with nVidia GPU.

Re: Micro-cut - This is a laptop. Battery would have taken over for
power loss.

I'm hoping it's some type of code related issue, as, again, this NEVER
happened until almost immediately after I upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04,
using the upgrade option thru update manager.

This hasn't happened since the last one occurred on 5/17, but I haven't
used the machine as much, recently. There have been 2 code pushes in the
last week, so I'll see if there is any change.
