Now here's an interesting thing. I tried a Fedora 11 live CD (the USB stick had always shown under Fedora 10), and couldn't mount the stick. So I tried using Palimpsest (the Gnome disk utility which is standard in Fedora 11), and hey presto, it identified that there was a mountable disk under the stick's top level, mounted it, and there is my backed up /Home.
I've installed Palimpsest into Karmic from Synaptic (perhaps it's gnome- disk-utility if you want to use apt-get install), and bingo, I've got my back up disk back. -- hal-storage-mount Segfaults https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/376786 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
