Hi, I have the same problem. My DVD Burner used to work with 8.10 or Debian, I don't think the problem is hardware related but I guess it's a software problem - so that might impact a lot of users.
You can also find in attachement the result of brasero --debug. You may also notice that the debug.txt file show several cases where brasero complain about symlink (mkisofs being a simlink to genisoimage and cdrdao being a simlink to wodim).
