I'm not surprised that there were no build problems, because the needed libraries are shipped (pre-compiled, as .jars) in the lib/ directory of the JabRef tarball. This doesn't not work under Debian Policy, that's why we need to create packages for all of them. (Please note that I can't make any statements about Ubuntu policy.) Cheers, gregor -- .''`.
